Ypsilanti City Council is changing the location of its regular meeting due to a larger-than-normal crowd expected to hear about a purchase agreement for the Water Street development.
Mayor Amanda Edmonds and Councilman Pete Murdock confirmed the location change for tonight's meeting at 7 p.m. which will take place at the Freighthouse, 100 Market Place in Ypsilanti's Depot Town.
It was previously planned for City Hall but an informational meeting held the previous night to discuss the Water Street purchase agreement was attended by more people than anticipated, prompting the location change.
Members of city council are discussing the purchase agreement put forward by International Village LLC, which is outlined in the meeting agenda posted on the City of Ypsilanti website.
