Renderings from FXFOWLE in recent months have pictured plans for The Moinian Group’s 3 Hudson Boulevard both with and without a spire. But now, plans for the project have seen a complete redesign, and ground has officially been broken on the 53-story and 940-foot-tall tower.

The groundbreaking for the project occurred on Friday, but the New York Post scooped the initial reveal just beforehand. The total scope will see a slight increase to two million square feet, and the height decrease from the previous version have been relatively minor, with FXFOWLE remaining at the helm as architect.
